Katherine loves to perform. Ask her which instrument she prefers performing on, and it would be a difficult question to answer.
As a pianist, Katherine has performed across the UK and Europe. She has particularly enjoyed working with a variety of National Trust properties over the years, including Sudbury Hall, Coughton Court and Dunster Castle, putting on mini recitals, and at Dunster Castle putting on a concert to raise funds for the trust. Katherine also loves working as an accompanist, whether with instrumentalists or vocal groups, and this has involved performances across the UK and France. Each December, for the past 7 years, she has accompanied and performed with the vocal group ‘Expressivo’ at their annual Christmas concert in Warwick, to raise funds for Cancer Research UK.
As a flautist, Katherine works a lot as a soloist. She enjoys creating arrangements of pop rock and classical pieces and has been asked to perform at a large number of weddings as part of the ceremony and at the receptions afterwards. Katherine has performed across the country, but one of her favourite all time ‘gigs’ was at Housel Bay Hotel in Cornwall for Valentine’s day 2010. It was a very special night, which included Katherine singing as well as playing her flute. A magical night in an equally magical setting.
As both a pianist and a flute/piccolo player Katherine is equally at home in the ‘pit’ for pantomimes and musicals. This sometimes involves her working as an MD too, but her favourite shows as a player have been My Fair Lady (Belgrade Theatre) and Disney’s Beauty and the Beast (Belgrade Theatre).
Katherine loves to sing too, and has performed across the UK. From Doris Day to Duffy, and Abba to Adele, Katherine has performed for weddings, receptions, as hotel entertainment and has put on her own concerts and events.
